My wife and I have stayed in this hotel twice this year, first during the May Tulip Festival, and then again in mid-October. Both our visits were 4 nights long and overwhelminly positive. For our first visit, we stayed in a conventional room. Our second visit used a suite. We enjoyed the friendly, helpful staff and the general level of upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel. We're both avid cyclists, and were able to keep our bikes in our rooms both times. The hotel is located so close to the Rideau Canal bike path, and a pedestrian/bike bridge across the canal, that you couldn't pick a better hotel for bike path access. The elevators are large enough that we could easily take our bikes up to our floor, or down to the lobby and be right at street level. We've found the indoor parking garage convenient, and it has lots of easily accesible parking spots, unless you have an unusually large vehicle. Neither my wife nor I found any problems with the neighborhood around the hotel. As a matter of fact, we found numerous restaurants within an easy walk from the hotel right in the Elgin/Cooper St. area. Although other hotels may be closer to the Byward Market area, we've found the trip to the market either an easy walk or ride also. If we could improve only one thing, I suppose it would be to replace the mini-refrigerator in the suite with a similar unit with a freezer section. My wife also wanted to mention that for some reason, the combination of blankets and bedspread/comforter on the bed was of a slippey enough fabrics that we often would ""lose"" them as we slept and have to recover them from the floor. The thermostat in the bedroom solved that problem!

Hi my school went to this hotel for our anual Ottwa trip for the grades eights. The hotel was so incredible nice, and the rooms are BIG and NICE. The rooms have a full kitchen which includes microwave and plates , glasses, toster spoons and all that it was an ausome trip because everythings was nearby (the city hall, was like two blocks from the hotel). I will come to this hotel in july with my family. =)

Hotel was within walking distance to many sites in the city. Plenty of fine places to eat in the area also. The complete staff of the hotel was friendly and very helpful. Had to extend stay and they were able to find a room even though the hotel was very crowded. Would definitely stay at this hotel the next time I revisit Ottawa.

The room was spacious enough. bathroom was small . I specifically wanted a full kitchen and had booked the hotel thinking I would get one , but just a microwave and a small fridge was the only thing in the room and not much space to do anything there. Parking was 10 bucks extra.
